Delta Digital, owners of well-known fishing and kayaking media brands such as Wired2fish, Kayak Angler and Paddling Magazine, is expanding its team. Wired2fish is excited to announce the expansion of its core personnel with the additions of Theron Asbery, Nick Dumke, Katie Hagan and Sam Hudson.
“These strategic hires reflect our commitment to growing and strengthening the Wired2fish brand,” says Todd Hammill, Head of Outdoor at Delta Digital. “We are confident these industry veterans and experts will help achieve our ambitious goals for 2025 and beyond.”
New Faces on the Sales Team
Katie Hagan, a seasoned media executive with more than 20 years of experience, joins the sales team at Wired2fish as an Account Executive. Hagan has spent the past 10 years in the fishing industry, working in a sales role for B.A.S.S. Before her time at B.A.S.S., she worked with numerous publishing companies, such as Southern Progress Corporation and Time Inc. Email: khagan@wired2fish.com
“I knew when the opportunity presented itself to become part of the Wired2fish team, I should make the switch,” says Hagan. “Wired2fish is not only a leader in the fishing industry, but also a great company to work with and for. I appreciate how their business practices line up with their core values — that is important to me. They are relationship people. If you know the fishing industry, you know relationships matter. To continue in this industry with people I genuinely care about is a blessing that is not lost on me.”
Katie was born and raised in Alabama, and she resides within 30 miles of her hometown near the Gulf Coast. She has two teenagers, Ansley and Jack, and enjoys being on the water most weekends with her family and friends.
Theron Asbery, an industry professional and tournament angler who has served in marketing leadership roles at Yo-Zuri America, American Tackle Company, and Bass Pro Shops, also joins the Wired2fish team as an Account Executive. Email: tasbery@wired2fish.com
Asbery, originally from Oklahoma, recently eclipsed 10 years as a fishing industry professional. Although around the industry since high school, he successfully made the jump from fishing the FLW Tour to a sales professional role. He’s still an active tournament angler but aligned his professional career focus to the sector where he finds the most passion in his work. He hopes to keep the legacy going for those who built the fishing industry to where it is today.
“I am incredibly proud to join the talented Wired2fish team,” says Asbery. “Wired2fish has always been a trusted and leading source in industry news, new product reviews, and tips for up-and-coming anglers to gain great insight before hitting the water. I have followed the brand my entire career — both as a professional and in fishing — so becoming a member of the team is truly a gift from God.”
Theron currently resides in Arkansas with his wife, Savannah. In his free time when not working business or fishing a tournament, he enjoys fly fishing, tinkering around with building baits, cooking, and working at his in-law’s farm.
Strengthening the Editorial Team
Sam Hudson, a seasoned editor across different fishing publications for the last 15 years, joins the staff at Wired2fish as Executive Editor. Hudson, who lives in Central Florida with his family, is excited for the challenge. Email: shudson@wired2fish.com
“When this opportunity presented itself, I couldn’t turn it down,” says Hudson. “The fishing media landscape is relatively small, and so we’re all familiar with how well Wired2fish covers fishing content, product reviews, up-to-date news, and video production. I’m really excited to be here and contribute to the team.”
Hudson has extensive experience as a print and digital editor starting in 2007. He’s been part of the staff editorial teams at Salt Water Sportsman, Sport Fishing, Fly Fishing in Salt Waters, Florida Sportsman and Shallow Water Angler publications. Besides magazines, he was a marketing manager for big-game offshore tournaments such as the Los Cabos Billfish Tournament, Bermuda Triple Crown, and Offshore World Championship. He also spent time as a digital producer and SEO specialist. Most recently, he was Executive Editor at Salt Water Sportsman before joining Wired2fish.
“Sam Hudson brings a wealth of experience, as a seasoned industry veteran — and a very fishy guy,” says Joe Albanese, Editor-in-Chief at Wired2fish. “I had the privilege of working with Sam in the past at other titles, and I’m thrilled to have him on the team here.”
Born and raised in Florida, you can find Sam outside the office fishing the skinniest backwaters, lakes and rivers the state has to offer. He has a bachelor’s degree in journalism (BSJ) from the University of Florida and an MBA from the University of Central Florida.
Video Production Reshuffle
Nick Dumke joins the Wired2fish team as Director of Video. One of his key responsibilities is continuing the success of Wired2fish’s video production, a key asset that has helped make Wired2fish so popular today. He’ll handle day-to-day management of the video team, provide content direction, oversee the budget, and orchestrate Wired2fish’s future video objectives. Email: ndumke@wired2fish.com
Dumke is an avid outdoorsman from Grand Rapids, Minnesota — the birthplace of Wired2fish. With a lifelong passion for fishing, hunting, and outdoor pursuits, he spends much of his free time fishing bass tournaments or enjoying the outdoors with his family and friends. Nick holds a bachelor’s degree in marketing from the University of Montevallo. He is scheduled to complete his Master of Business Administration (MBA) from the same institution in July 2025.
“After six years as an intern with Wired2fish, I’m excited to transition to a full-time role,” Dumke says, “contributing a robust blend of industry experience and marketing proficiency to a brand I deeply value.”
